CHURCH OF ST. URHA ON ŠENTURŠKA GORA

Church of St. Urha Cat on Šenturška Gora was built around 1368. It was enlarged at last time before the parish became independent in 1764. In Valvasor’s time it had two altars, but today we can find there as many as three. In the church is also the church organ of Peter Rumpel and pictures of Simon Ogrin and J. Tavčar. Two altars are the work of sculptor M. Peternel. The church is decorated with a new organ with 17 registers. They represent a opus of 24 from the workshop Orglarstvo Močnik Cerklje, built, tuned and intoned, following the principles of Baroque, which allows to perform baroque music.
