Theme footpath covers part of the transitional hilly terrain, placed between two geographical units - the mountain world of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps and the flat lands of Kranj in the south, passing the Ljubljana basin. It serves to recognize the natural beauty, cultural heritage and other attractions in the Municipality of Cerklje. Most of the area with a rich cultural heritage is protected natural value, which is included in the Natura 2000.
