FESTIVAL PO ROKOVEM
In Cerklje there were many customs and traditions associated with church holidays, which regulated everyday and festive life. In today's time, they greatly disappear or lose their practical significance.
In 2010, the local society raised Semenj na Rokovo, which enlivened the summer pulse of the place. Every year brings new contents of the celebration organized by the Tourist Board of Cerklje and several associations of the local community. All participants brings knowledge and skills that are, according to the UNESCO Declaration, the object of cultural heritage. We must thank them for preserving the memory of a more or less distant past and are functionally involved in today's time.
In recent years the name of the event has been transformed into Fest po rokovem, as more and more societies are involved and brings together a wide range of sports, cultural and entertainment content, which takes care of the interests of different groups of visitors of Cerklje.
Visitors can also buy art craft products, there are various workshops and local culinary delights. The main part of the event is the Folklore Festival, where folklore groups from different parts of Slovenia and abroad are presented.
Fest po rokovem is ussually on the last weekend in August.
