The Strmol castle is one of the oldest (13th century) and best preserved castles of Slovenia. It is only 6km away from the international airport Ljubljana and 25 km from the centre of Ljubljana. The castle Strmol is an excellent location for business meetings as well as a place for all, who wish to spend a holiday day or two in the incomparable environment of a medieval castle.

In August 2023, Castle Strmol obtained the internationally recognized sustainable GREEN KEY certification for accommodation. With this certification, it joined the Green Scheme of Slovenian Tourism and thereby received the SLOVENIA GREEN ACCOMMODATION label.
