Pod Krošnjami (Under the Treetops) recreational walking trail

The Pod Krošnjami (Under the Treetops) recreational walking trail links Adergas, Štefanja Gora, Štefanja Vas, Grad and Dvorje, taking visitors through forests, meadows and villages at the foot of the Kamnik–Savinja Alps. Along the way, natural sights, cultural heritage and views of the surrounding countryside intertwine.

The trail starts in Adergas and climbs towards Štefanja Gora. It passes the Kmečki turizem Pr' Mežnarju farm stay and leads to St Stephen's Church, then continues between fields and meadows towards Zgornja and Spodnja Štefanja Vas. From here, walkers can return towards Adergas or continue towards Grad and Dvorje.

The trail also passes through a Natura 2000 area, and one of its special features is its historical role as a connecting route. It once linked the settlements on Štefanja Gora with the villages in the valley, which shared close economic and cultural ties.

• the memorial to Davorin Jenko on the site of his birthplace in Dvorje.

On Štefanja Gora, you can also stop for refreshments and home-made fare at the Kmečki turizem Pr' Mežnarju farm stay.
