Franci Strupi Farm and Beekeeping Museum

About

In Spodnji Brnik you will find the private Franci Strupi Farm and Beekeeping Museum, which brings the history of beekeeping and the former way of rural life and work closer to visitors. Franci Strupi has kept bees since 1982, when he started with three colonies. Today he looks after 70 to 100 colonies and is happy to share his many years of knowledge and experience with museum visitors.

The collection includes a variety of objects and tools used by beekeepers in the past, complemented by old farm tools, shoemaking implements and other items that bear witness to former life in the countryside.

After the visit you can stop at the well-kept shop, which sells various kinds of home-produced honey, propolis, pollen, honey brandy and beeswax products. The museum is open by prior arrangement.
