ππˆπŽπ–π€π’π“π„: kitchen waste and green garden waste. This includes all kinds of vegetable and fruit scraps, eggshells, coffee grounds and filter bags, spoilt food products, food leftovers, paper tissues, paper towels and paper bags, branches, grass and leaves, flowers and weeds

Take all other waste to the CERKLJE WASTE COLLECTION CENTRE. Recycling points are listed HERE.
-> Opening hours: Wednesdays between 13:00 and 18:00 and Saturdays between 8:00 and 13:00
To see which types of waste are collected there, visit: https://www.vokasnaga.si/.../zbirni-center-cerklje-na... (opens in a new tab)

The most common mistakes we tend to make when sorting waste are:

  1. You put packaging in the packaging bin (opens in a new tab) with its contents still inside. The correct way is to empty and squash packaging before putting it in the bin.
  2. You put paper towels and tissues in the residual waste bin. This waste belongs with biowaste (opens in a new tab), so put it in the brown bin.
  3. Because your residual waste bin is too small, or there are not enough bins outside the building, you leave waste in ordinary bags next to the bin. The solution is to order a larger or an additional bin (opens in a new tab). Leaving waste next to the bins is only permitted when you have more waste than usual as an exception, and only in bags bearing the JP VOKA SNAGA d.o.o. logo.
  4. You leave bulky waste from clearing out a garage, house, etc. next to the bins. Either take bulky waste to the waste collection centre (opens in a new tab) or use a special order form to request free collection (opens in a new tab).
  5. You pour used cooking oil or fat down the toilet, and you also flush condoms and cotton buds. The toilet and the drain are not waste bins. By throwing waste into the toilet we cause serious problems in the sewerage system: we obstruct the flow and cause blockages and pumping station failures, and we also endanger the health of the workers who keep the system running smoothly, as they have to remove all the incorrectly disposed waste. So collect oil separately and take it to the waste collection centre (opens in a new tab), and put condoms and cotton buds in the residual waste bin (opens in a new tab).
