Guided cycling tour of part of the 2026 UEC Road European Championships course with Jani Brajkovič
To mark the 2026 Road European Championships, we in Cerklje na Gorenjskem organised a guided study cycling tour with former top professional cyclist Jani Brajkovič. The participants, including media representatives, had the opportunity to get to know part of the European Championships course and to discover the cycling potential of our destination.
Led by the experienced cyclist, they explored Cerklje and its surroundings from a slightly different perspective – from the saddle. Along the way, they discovered varied roads, picturesque countryside and wonderful views of the Kamnik–Savinja Alps, which, together with the proximity of Krvavec, create excellent conditions for a wide range of cycling experiences.
The European Championships were an important opportunity to present Cerklje na Gorenjskem as an attractive cycling destination, offering options both for recreational cyclists and for those looking for more demanding climbs and sporting challenges.
But cycling experiences in Cerklje do not end with the Championships. A variety of cycling routes invite visitors to explore the natural beauty, cultural heritage and attractions of our destination all year round.
