As a prelude to the multi-day September event,
WELCOME TO AUTUMN WITH THE GORENJSKA CARNATION
the Municipality of Cerklje na Gorenjskem kindly invites all residents to collect Gorenjska carnation plants, which we will be handing out together with the Gorenjski nagelj Society of Farm and Rural Women
on Saturday, 22 April 2023, at the Cerklje Market in front of Davorin Jenko Primary School in Cerklje, from 9.00 to 12.00.
In the event of bad weather, the plants will be handed out in front of Hribar Villa (where the bank used to be).
The event, organised by the Municipality of Cerklje na Gorenjskem and the Cerklje Tourism Board, will open the celebrations of the municipal holiday and will take place from 1 to 3 September 2023 in front of Jenko’s Lime Tree. On Friday we will be entertained by the band Ansambel Stil, and on Saturday by Ribič Pepe and Čuki. The Sunday afternoon programme will be put together by local performers from the cultural societies and Davorin Jenko Primary School, and hosted by the humorist Franc Pestotnik – Podokničar.
To make the atmosphere even more festive and colourful, we warmly invite you to decorate your houses and balconies with Gorenjska carnations in honour of the municipal holiday.
Everyone is warmly welcome!
