Highlights from the nativity scene exhibition

FROM 20 TO 23 DECEMBER 2023 AT PETROVC HOUSE

Impressions from the Nativity Scene Exhibition at Petrovc House

From 20 to 23 December 2023, the Petrovc House Gallery came alive with a magical atmosphere as it hosted a remarkably varied Nativity Scene Exhibition. Thirteen talented nativity makers shared their creativity with visitors, displaying unique nativity scenes that were a real feast for the eyes.

The nativity scenes were made from a variety of materials, from warm wood, sturdy clay and elegant stone to refined glass and delicate lace. Each one had its own story and charm, making for a diverse and appealing exhibition.

The highlight of the exhibition came on Thursday 21 December, when the Cerklje parish administrator Martin Leben gave the blessing. After the ceremony, the exhibition was also visited by carol singers (koledniki) from the Kulturno društvo Folklora Cerklje cultural society. Their songs filled the room, adding an extra touch of festive atmosphere. After the cultural programme, visitors and exhibitors celebrated together with warm tea and aromatic mulled wine.

More than 200 visitors came through the doors of the Gallery, a testament to the success of the exhibition and the enthusiasm of the local community.

The Cerklje Tourism Board would like to sincerely thank all the exhibitors for their contribution to enriching the festive experience in Cerklje.

Together, we created an unforgettable experience that will stay in the memories of many visitors.
