Creative Saturdays in Cerklje delight visitors of all ages

In February, March and April, Petrovc House in Cerklje hosted numerous creative workshops, which attracted both children and adults on Saturdays. The workshops were an opportunity to socialise, learn new skills and enjoy some relaxed creative time, so it is no surprise that, owing to the great interest, they will continue in the coming weeks. The workshops were led by two local makers: Maja Cvitanovič – Domače čarovnije and Nataša Pezdir – Unikati Nati.

In March and April, Nataša Pezdir also taught participants crochet and working with clay on a potter’s wheel. They created wonderful pieces and learned new techniques.

Each workshop lasted two hours, during which participants made their own unique pot or crocheted a warm, soft scarf. The techniques used were adapted for beginners, so even the youngest participants and those who rarely try their hand at crafts were able to take part.

The atmosphere was wonderfully pleasant – relaxed, creative and full of inspiration. Participants went home smiling, with newly acquired skills and useful items that they will be happy to use or give to someone as a gift.

The workshops continue – on 3 May, UnikatiNati starts a new series of workshops, Skledica iz kačic in kroglic (a little bowl made of clay coils and balls), which will run over several sessions, and on 17 May we will be crocheting again at TIC Cerklje (Tourist Information Centre)!

You can find the dates at www.visitcerklje.si (opens in a new tab) and on social media at @VisitCerklje and @UnikatiNati

With its creative Saturdays, Cerklje is strengthening its reputation as a place for passing on craft skills and enjoying pleasant creative get-togethers!
