THE MUNICIPALITY OF CERKLJE NA GORENJSKEM IS CELEBRATING!
September is the month in which the Municipality of Cerklje na Gorenjskem celebrates its municipal holiday. In keeping with long-standing tradition, this year too, together with the local community, societies, award winners and individuals, we have enriched it with sociable and festive events taking place from September to November 2023.
Since 1999, the Municipality of Cerklje na Gorenjskem has celebrated its municipal holiday on 23 September.
On this day in 1999, 80 years had passed since the death of Ignacij Borštnik, who was born in Cerklje in 1858. The main event was the opening of a memorial park and the unveiling of a bust of Ignacij Borštnik. In 2007, the Municipality of Cerklje na Gorenjskem named its cultural hall after the professional actor Ignacij Borštnik.
We wish you a happy municipal holiday.
