The Peter Pavel Glavar Foundation, in cooperation with the Cerklje Tourism Board, Planinsko društvo Komenda (Komenda Mountaineering Society) and the Municipality of Komenda, is organising the Pot k sosedu (Path to Our Neighbours) walk to the Municipality of Cerklje na Gorenjskem on Saturday, 22 April 2023; in the event of bad weather, it will be postponed to 13 May 2023.
Gathering and registration will take place from 7:30 to 8:00 at Lahovče Pond.
The walk starts at 8.00, with arrival at the finish at 12.30.
The meeting point is Lahovče Pond, from where the route leads to Spodnji Brnik and then on to Cerklje. There you will also be able to visit the Cerklje Market. In Cerklje you will see some of the sights. At the end there will also be a hearty one-pot meal (malica na žlico) at TIC Cerklje (Tourist Information Centre).
The route is 11 km long. Checkpoints along the way: 1. the Farm and Beekeeping Museum in Spodnji Brnik, 2. Cerklje – Memorial Park of Notable Figures, 3. Plečnik’s mortuary chapels, 4. the Birthplace of Ignacij Borštnik.

Charity: the entry fee is €5 and will be donated to Cerklje Parish Caritas. Participation is free for pupils and students.
