Between 2 and 7 October 2026, Slovenia will host the Road European Championships, where the best male and female riders of the Old Continent will compete for the European titles. The organisers are inviting volunteers aged over 16 who would like to help stage one of the biggest sporting events in the country this year.
Volunteering will take place in Ljubljana and Šenčur, with preparations starting as early as 30 September. Volunteers can commit to a minimum of two days or the whole week, although the organisers will find it easier to include those who are available for several days.
Volunteers will help with directing and informing competitors and visitors, working in the start and finish area and along the course, accreditation, working in the media centre and preparing the venue.
In return, they will receive an official volunteer T-shirt and windbreaker, a meal while on duty and a certificate of volunteer work or completed work placement, and above all the chance to see behind the scenes of a major international sporting event.
