Please note that on Sunday, 7 May 2023, the charity running event Wings for Life World Run, will take place, starting from Ljubljana at 13.00.
The route passes through the following municipalities: Ljubljana, Domžale, Kamnik, Komenda, Cerklje, Vodice and Medvode. Roads will be fully closed from Ljubljana to Kamnik, and from Kamnik onwards there will be a moving rolling closure. The closures apply to both municipal and state roads.
The route can be viewed at this link (opens in a new tab).
The event will take place simultaneously in 8 locations around the world, and the funds raised go towards finding a cure for spinal cord injuries.
The race format is unusual: instead of a fixed finish, the finish line chases the runners in the form of a pursuit vehicle.
