Cheer in Cerklje – supporting programme for the Pogi Challenge cycling race
This Sunday, 12 October 2025, Cerklje na Gorenjskem will be one of the hubs of the nationwide cycling event Pogi Challenge – S Klanca v klanc. Along the route, which runs through the centre of Cerklje, a lively supporting programme of music, dance, children’s creative activities and local produce will be laid on for all fans and visitors.
The action will take place at two venues:
- in front of Davorin Jenko Primary School Cerklje, the main programme will feature performances by the young rock band Vesperi and the dance school AnimaBit, accompanied by the Cerklje Market (Cerkljanska tržnica) with a rich selection of local products. The event will be hosted by a presenter providing live commentary on the riders’ arrival and the atmosphere on the course. There will also be a creative workshop for children and pancake making, organised by Društvo Družinsko-mladinski center Cerklje (Cerklje Family and Youth Centre Society), which this year is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its work.
- in front of Cerklje Health Centre, visitors will be welcomed by members of Godba Cerklje (Cerklje Brass Band) and Folklorna skupina Cerklje (Cerklje Folk Dance Group), whose traditional rhythms and dances will create a homely, lively atmosphere.
The whole event can also be followed live on MMC RTV Slovenija, which will include the action in Cerklje in its Sunday programme.
