PROMOTIONAL DAYS to encourage sustainable mobility in Cerklje
In the week around World Earth Day, the Municipality of Cerklje na Gorenjskem will host no fewer than two events promoting sustainable mobility and cycling as a healthy, practical and environmentally friendly way of getting around.
1. Gorenjska.bike promotional cycling tour – Tuesday, 22 April 2025
As part of a regional event organised by the Centre for Sustainable Mobility and the company MM IBIS in cooperation with Pagon Šport, Cerklje will be visited by the sustainable mobility ambassador Nejc Črnilogar. Together with his team, as part of the promotional tour of the Gorenjska.bike system, which links ten municipalities in Gorenjska (Upper Carniola), he will also visit our municipality between 13.00 and 14.00.
Residents will have the opportunity to learn about the benefits of cycling every day, see a presentation of the system and spend time with the Mobiln.si team and local stakeholders who promote an active lifestyle.
2. Gorenjska.bike promotional day in Cerklje – Thursday, 24 April 2025
Just two days later, a stand-alone promotional event will take place in front of TIC Cerklje, offering an even wider range of activities for all generations between 12.00 and 15.00.
Visitors will be able to:
- find out how the Gorenjska.bike bike rental system works,
- get help with registering,
- try out standard and electric bikes,
- take part in a skills course and orienteering,
- take part in a quiz for practical prizes
- and have their photo taken at a special photo spot.
Both events aim to raise awareness of the importance of sustainable mobility, reduce our environmental footprint and encourage a healthy lifestyle. The Gorenjska.bike system is a modern solution for everyday journeys and makes an important contribution to better connections between municipalities and a higher quality of life.
