Strmol Castle joins the sustainability story with the prestigious Green Key label
We are delighted to announce that Strmol Castle has successfully obtained the internationally recognised GREEN KEY sustainability label, thereby joining the Green Scheme of Slovenian Tourism with the prestigious Slovenia Green Accommodation label.
This outstanding achievement confirms Strmol Castle’s commitment to sustainable business practices and care for the environment. Through its dedication, it has met the high standards of the sustainability criteria set by this programme. With the GREEN KEY label, it has become a symbol of sustainable development and responsible conduct in tourism.
We are proud to announce that, with its sustainable approach, Strmol Castle has become an important link in the green story of sustainable tourism in our municipality. Following its example, together we will shape a greener future for tourism in the Cerklje na Gorenjskem destination. Its role as a member of the Green Scheme of Slovenian Tourism will help to raise awareness among visitors of the importance of sustainable tourism.
In addition to Strmol Castle, the environmental certificate was also awarded to Elegans Hotel Brdo, Brdo Congress Centre and Vila Bled in Bled, which are likewise managed by the Public Enterprise for Protocol Services of the Republic of Slovenia (JGZ Brdo).
