Brunarica Kekec, a log cabin, stands on Krvavec at an altitude of 1,603 metres, right beside the ski slopes. In winter it is quickly reached from the upper cable car station by a four-seater chairlift, making it a popular stop for refreshments during skiing and other activities on Krvavec.

In a pleasant mountain setting they serve traditional Slovenian and home-style dishes. Typical dishes include jota (bean and sauerkraut stew), ričet (barley stew), veal stew, pasulj (bean stew) and soured milk with žganci (a traditional crumbled buckwheat or maize dish), while chicken medallions, pizzas and pancakes are also available. For dessert they make home-made apple, curd cheese or blueberry strudel.

The menu also changes with the seasons – in autumn they prepare a farmhouse feast. The log cabin is a pleasant stop for anyone who wants to combine activities on Krvavec with home-made food and a break in the mountains.
